Raquetball injury

Was playing raquetball. I tore my Achilles, ruptured that sucker completely in half. Hurt like no tomorrow! 5 surgeries; the wound just opened up after the 3rd surgery; the tissue wouldn't hold stitches; looked like a gunshot wound to the back of my leg. 40 hyperbaric treatments of 3 hours each, 21 sugical debridements, a hard cast for 6 weeks X 2 , 2 walking boots, crutches X 2 , MRSA X 2 (week in the hospital both times) Pseudamonas (blue pus disease). Wound vac X 2.
All over a 3 year period. Morals of the story:
1. Avoid raquetball.
2. You do NOT want to rupture your Achilles tendon!
