I finally decided to try a rattle can paint job on one of my AR-15's. It didn't quite turn out how I wanted it to but I don't think it looks horrible either.
Taped off everything I didn't want painted and prepped it by cleaning it with brake cleaner.
Base coat of khaki.
Covered it with pine needles and shot it with some black.
This is after the first shot of black.
I repeated the process with some green on top of the black. The spots I didn't like I hit with the khaki again and then repeated the process with the green and black again.
This is the finished product, at least for now.
I may try this again. I may just try to touch it up. Or if I decide I like it ok the I will just leave it the way it is.
