So I used to use Gillette fusion pro glide razors and then they came out with that tranny in their commercial and I dumped them. I started using Harry’s razors and now they have gotten ridiculous too. So I got on Amazon and found these razors called Dorco. I got the pace 6 and I have to say that so far it is the best razor I’ve ever used. Very close shave and it has lasted a long time. If your looking for a good razor you should try it. They are a pretty good price too.

I purchased an electric foil shaver for under $20. It’s noisy, but does a decent job if I shave every day.
I had an electric razor, but I was never really happy with the results I got on my head. My face and neck I'm OK with not being super smooth. My head, on the other hand, has to be baby butt smooth and I could never achieve that with an electric.

Yep, it's a definite skill. I bought a nice straight razor and the first time I picked it up and started trying to figure out I'd shave various parts of my face, said NOPE. Good in theory, but you'd better be committed to a bloody learning curve. I wasn't.
I understand believe me. Fortunately I’ve only cut myself once when learning and it wasn’t very bad. Had my head in the clouds and while I had the blade against my cheek just out of habit I pressed out with my tongue a little to firm up the skin and put a 2” cut across my face. Like I said, it wasn’t a deep cut (no scar) but it sure taught me a lesson. Thought to myself “this could have been really bad”.

Dorko razors? Never heard of them. I often think of my teacher in what now would be called Middle School telling the class that the reasons Indians didn't shave was because they pulled their whiskers out. She didn't know what she was talking about and screwed us kids up royally.
No she did know what she was talking about. I can vouch for her knowledge. If you are interested, PM me and I’ll send you the history I know dating back back from about 1974. But it is kind of lengthy.

I used DSC for years until the quality dropped.
I picked up a Hensen Double Edge last year. Loved it. Great entry razor to the DE world.
Then my wife bought me a REX Ambassador Adjustable Double Edge for Christmas!
I then picked up a Leaf Razor I use on my head.
All great and use Double Edge blades. You break the DE blade in half to use in the Leaf.

I use Shave Nation for most of the other supplies:

I like the look of that Leaf razor, but dang it I'm too cheap to buy one right now. I do have it bookmarked for in the future.
