The cold blues are not a very durable finish. Some are better than others, but ultimately hot blueing is the way to go

Agreed. I'm just offering to help out, with the Oxpho Cold Blue, which has been satisfactory for small touch ups. And a lot cheaper than sending it off to be hot blued.
