Reports of FAA using discriminatory hiring practices in air traffic control is real. The Blaze just released a documentary on it, and I provided a Washington Times article a few pages ago in this thread.

I mentioned thoughts of DEI in Post #7.
and was accused of being a conspiracy theorist.

Don't expect those with egg on their face to step up.

It isn’t just the FAA. DEI is unfortunately infecting the airlines as well.

So what happens if only 2,000 women and people of color meet the requirements? Do you not meet your quota, or do you lower the standard?

One more act of stupidity from the government for you. NOTAMs are informational messages issued by the FAA to let pilots know about runway closures, taxiway closures, changes to airspace, etc. It used to mean “Notices to Airmen”, but that was apparently misogynistic so it now officially means “Notices to Air Missions”, which doesn’t even make sense. Same exact acronym, same exact format, same information as before, just a different meaning for the acronym to be more “inclusive”.

I know the BH was on a training mission. But, after watching the Earth Cam video, something isn’t adding up. It was almost a head on collision.

It is totally ridiculous to be performing any kind of training flights in that airspace whatsoever. It is well know to be overly crowded with flights and has all kinds of special and abnormal flight patterns because of the small size and protected areas. Whoever has allowed that crap to go on should be fired if not prosecuted for direlection.

I'm curious, did they have a lot of females and applicants of color that were rejected before? Just wondering what those stats look like.

I was listening to Glenn Beck's radio show yesterday and one of his co-hosts said something to the effect of "We can spend lots of money to create initiatives to get more women into firefighting, or more men into the health field, but at the end of the day, more men simply want to be firefighters and more women simply want to go into the medical field. So why don't we just let people do what they want?"
