Awhile back got a TC New Englander reworked to shoot bullets as-cast with soft lead from off the shelf .45 caliber 400 to 500 grain molds, the barrel bore diameter being 0.458" for muzzleloading. It's worked out real well and I'm thinking about a long range version with a TC Renegade, much longer barrel, cross sticks, globe front sight and rear peep. Got all the parts and just need to get the barrel rebored to suit. Anyone on the forum have experience with long range muzzleloading? Any pointers? Any ideas on using .476" or .515" molds instead of .458"?
