Anyone have any tips on doing this? I've got 5 lbs or so that needs recharging. It's color indicating. I tried it once in my oven on a deep cookie sheet and ended up getting silica beads everywhere.

I'm here at work (I know, I know. Shouldn't be surfing) and I pulled out one from what we have around here. It says: "Reactivation time in bag 16 hours at 250 deg Fahrenheit".

I had read that was the time and temp. I'd sure hate to leave my oven on for 16 hours!

Just dont eat it!

Mack,

A few days ago I bought a small electronic device which uses a single 9 volt battery. After powering up and doing the neccessary programing, I decided to read the instructions (real men don't need instructions...right?) Along with instructions on how to replace battery was a warning not to swallow the depleted battery!!!!...Really!!!.....Honest!!!
What is this world coming to?

I buy dessicant with blue beads from Hobby Lobby and put it in cloth Muslin bags. I regenerate the dessicant by putting in the oven for 2 hrs at 250 degrees. That's all it takes for the beads to turn back to blue.
