mine is about 2 years old and I pretty much just leave it turned on. so... A long time.
Mine is not on a gun right now. If you want to try it out let me know and you can borrow it

Does the 4MOA dot prevent accurate squirrel popping at 50 yds when compared to a scope?

Ultra dot is the what most Bullseye shooters use, the ones that use dots anyways.

I put a trijicon on my dad's mkI and it works just fine for targets under 50 feet it seemed like the 1MOA dot covered an 8inch target competely at 30yds. Although we were still grouping pretty good at that distance.
