I'm not surprised, even though the explosive in the Boston bombs came from fireworks. That anti-gun knee hasn't finished jerking yet.

yesterday on my way to lunch, i was listening to cnn radio and they were doing work to replicate the explosives. Lots of "that looks exactly like the smoke cloud we saw in Boston" and crap like that. They're really working hard to "prove" is was reloading powder

you should check out the vid. things to note are:

1. the pot appears void of any smokeless or black powder. later in the story they claim that nuts were added to simulate shrapnel effects.

2. they tape what appears to be det cord to the inside lid of the pot. That is the only thing I could see which may have been explosive.

3. they set off the shot with shock cord, which suggests to me that the det cord was the only explosive used.

4. the smoke and flames were not just like the Boston bomb. The "smoke" was mostly sand and dust kicked up by the detonation.
