Thats a great idea @Mad Professor are you running any lights on that press or is that just from the endoscope? I got one of those in garage I may play with now.
Dillon has their audible alarm powder checker but costs you a station. Hornady has a version also I believe is called a powder cop but it also costs you a station. The Hornady has a rod that goes up if Powder is present so it’s still something you must look at but it’s simpler than looking into a case I reckon.
What you did above is definitely a simpler alternative and I’m sure cheaper than putting dillon checker on several toolheads.Here is Dillon’s. I played with one a bit. Decided it was more trouble for me than it was worth. Since then I added a bullet feeder in that station. And I run a separate stage for seat and crimp.
