Reloading PSA- found at range inspired

Found these yesterday.

It helps to load powder into the brass thingy before seating the bullet.







Interesting side note. The 6.5-284 has quite the case capacity and the primer charge pressure didn't move the bullet out even a mm.

Way back when I was a kid, my uncle was my shooting "guru".
I would collect some of the spent brass at the range as well as some of the spent projos
At home I would work to put the proper "bullet" with the proper "case" and hand seat them.
My uncle told me, at one time, that this wasn't a great idea because someone might think that they were rounds that had been "fired" but didn't go off.

When I was doing brass I would find those every now and then, or loaded but no primer. Primer in upside down, etc. I even found a couple with 2 bullets in the case. I blame most of it on automatic loaders.

A properly sized neck with good tension won't let the bullet move with just a primer even if there isn't a crimp. I've seen the same with magnum primers as what's in those photos many times.
