Should have been done in 1911, to invalidate the Sullivan Act. But better late than never.

I object to these paragraphs:

§ 927. The right to keep and bear arms

“(a) No State or political subdivision of a State may impose a criminal or civil penalty on, or otherwise indirectly dissuade the carrying of firearms (including by imposing a financial or other barrier to entry) in public by residents or nonresidents of that State who are citizens of the United States and otherwise eligible to possess firearms under State and Federal law.

“(b) Any statute, ordinance, regulation, custom, or usage of a State or a political subdivision of a State that criminalizes, penalizes, or otherwise indirectly dissuades the carrying of firearms (including by imposing a financial or other barrier to entry) in public by any resident or nonresident who is a United States citizen and otherwise eligible to possess firearms under State and Federal law, shall have no force or effect.

These paragraphs allow the federal and several state governments to enact, retain, and enforce laws that can and will limit whomever may keep(buy, etc.) whatever firearms these governments see fit. This act is otherwise good but falls short of truly enforcing the Second Added Article to the Constitution of the United States of America, AKA the Second Amendment. This act only says you may carry those arms that government says you may keep.

For some states it will cause problems as pointed out. I don’t fancy the idea of the .gov saying what I can and can’t carry.

My biggest concern is how many of the let's say, "less astute" will take it as a green flag to go strapped behind enemy lines. The judiciary of those places will still be controlled by hardcore leftists. They will enjoy punishing as many outsiders as they possibly can. Always remember that just because you may do a thing, doesn't mean you should do a thing!
