I have a couple neutered WASRs that id like to restore. I could get new gas blocks but has anyone tried or know someone that could add a weld bead and file to shape like this link?

it could be done, but honestly its not that difficult or expensive to just buy a new gas block and knock the old one off. if you really have a couple id recommend doing that first. then you can use the replacement before installing it on the gun as a visual aid, and - attempt to restore the original removed one. that way you minimize the risk of damaging the gun. id suggest getting a really really good handfile set and a bucket of water and oil and a good table vise and a cloth. probably will need an electric drill, calipers to measure and the correct drill bit.
