The EPA also classifies permethrin as a likely human carcinogen based on the results of studies with mice, and the stuff is known to be highly toxic to aquatic life (and, oddly, to cats.) So you may want to use permethrin sparingly, and don't use it on clothing you'd wear duck hunting or where you'll come into contact with bodies of water.
