I do not reload. I have a large box of mostly .308 brass that needs to go. What is the best way to get rid of it? I have no idea what a fair price is. The last time I went to scrap yard was ten years ago. I plan to call and check a few places in the morning. The box weighs 27 pounds. I would rather see a shooter get it. There is some .223 and 7mag in there. I also have some .338 lm that is not pictured.
Have you tried posting it for sale in the classifieds here?
Surely 308 is popular enough someone wants it.

And you stated mostly .308.

Now for future sales or reference make sure you know what is in the lot of brass.
There was a lot of 9mm, 40s&w, 45acp .22 long rifle. STEEL 45acp berdaned primed and berdaned primed .308.
.243, 30-30, .270, 30-06, 22/250, one grendel, and other stuff.

7.9 lbs of .308 brass. That does not = Mostly .308

I will eat this transaction and I hope you do better on the next explanation of what you have for sale.
Yes there was .223 and 7mm rem mag.

1 live round 7mm rem mag. +++++++++++++++++++++++ BOOM!!!!

Sort the brass from steel cases for sure ( and no live rounds) as this is why most recycle places NO LONGER take spent cases.
People do not sort the stuff.

How much 7mm/338? Depending on price I could always use more.
74 rounds or R-P Brass 7MM Remington Mag.
36 Brass WW Super 7mm Remington Mag.
11 Nickle WW Super 7MM Remington Mag.

30 R-P 22/250 Brass.

270 Winchester. As follows.
18 Nickle Winchester cases.
8 Brass Winchester cases.
1 Frontier Brass.
22 R-P brass cases.

Math.
27 lb box of brass with 7.9 lbs of 308 is not mostly 308 it is mostly something other than 308.

And if we get to your way of thinking there is 146 pieces of .308 marked brass.
123 pieces of 7.62x51 but not marked with that or the .308 just a NATO stamp and make and year.

Not a big deal.
I will make it all work out.
Thanks for being concerned. Thanks for the word play.

223 rounds of 5.56 with some .223 tossed in and I have not counted or sorted the pistol cases.
