I am sure there are guy's here who tried there hand at Roofing, Metal sheeting on roofs etc,
As for those dudes driving big rig PU's.
If they are legit roofers, they definitely deserve to ride in style.
That is only if they are legit roofing contractors.
It is pretty brutal work at times.

Just as an added bonus, don't challenge a legit one to a scrap, unless you know what you are doing.

I have seen the fly by night ones, and the professional scammers too.

As for looking for a roofer in Tulsa, just keep looking and calling, pretty much every roofer I know will give you a free estimate, and point you to roofing jobs they have completed. Plus they will tell you how long they been in business. Most are Honest, I think if you visit with them a bit, you will be able to tell if they are truthful.

There are different calibers of roofers, a plethora of shingle types, some times that is the price difference.
Ask them what type of shingles they are going to use, fiberglass, asphalt etc. Do you hand nail or Staple.
Hand nail is slightly better, but Staples with a seasoned roofer will last as long as the shingles, what kind of moisture barrier are they planning on using, quite a difference in those too.

Also drive around in a Housing area that you like and check for recent roofing signs in the front yard.
Most of them will put a shingle in the front yard of a House they just roofed.

A lot of good shingles out there and a lot of them are made right here in Oklahoma.

Hope I was not to long winded.
Good Luck and take your time.
I put a galvanized roof on this last time I had a reroof. Unless I get a direct hit or other disaster, it should outlast me.

27 squares, cost $3600.00 They were a little subpar on trim work, but the next estimate was just under $10,000.00.

In your momma’s bedroom.
Also, I'm not roofing it myself.
It has mostly 14/12 pitch, so that's a no from me

Mine isn’t that steep, but it’s way too steep for my crusty old butt to work on. I had a dozen shingles blow off this past spring. Thought I would just run up there and fix it. About a half a minute up there and I realized nope. Called oldest g’son to come fix and he agreed it was too steep for me. 🤣😆😂

Go to Lowes and pick up a bundle of shingles, then ask yourself do I really want to roof a house?
It is a great physical activity though.
You probably already know though, but just in case, thought I might put it out there.

We fellows got to stick together you know. Get a lawn chair and watch those roofers, then go down to the coffee shop and tell the boys you just roofed your house, and sling your arms around like you are a little bit sore.
That is the proper way to roof.
