ruger 22/45 lite or paclite upgrade???

So ive been tossing around the idea of lightweight hunting pistol. Lgs has a lite for 399 $ I really like them and are really handy. But ive got a nib 2245 with standard barrel that I was wondering about slapping a paclite upper on it. Has anyone done the swap and which ones lightest? Im not against doing the conversion just lookin at both because they are in the same range. Any ideas?

If I had a ruger already, paclite. If i didnt, factory threaded.

For the price of the Paclite, I'd just buy the new 22/45 lite. Then you'd have both.

There is a guy on Gunbroker selling the OEM lite uppers for 130. I'd consider that if you already own the pistol

Have to agree. I have one of the first 22/45s from early '90s and bought the Lite last year. Wouldn't trade either one. When you buy the Lite order a hammer bushing from TandemKross to get rid of the silly magazine disconnect. Allows you to use any of the 22/45 mags also.

Two complete guns beat a receiver and two uppers any day.
