Sorta. Maybe.

I wonder if this is going to pan out and if it does what about revolvers, rifles and shot guns?

We have one source for this story: calgunlaws.com. “In perhaps one of the more shocking discoveries at the 2014 SHOT Show, Ruger spokesperson Kevin Reid revealed that Ruger was going to let it’s entire California Semiautomatic pistol roster ‘…drop off…’ the CA Department of Justice Approved Handgun List . . . Ruger has already let some 60+ semiautomatic pistols drop off the approved handgun roster with the rest shortly to follow.” TTAG main man Dan’s on the case. We’ll post a statement here in a few hours. [h/t Mark N.]

Thats good and bad. Basically they are giving the California government what they want. Its not like they are costing California any money like Magpul is doing in CO. If these manufacturers want to make a political statement, cancel any pending state contracts and stop selling to LE departments within Commi States. That will be the proverbial line in the sand.

This. Better yet, have a two tier price structure. One is for free states, the other (higher) tier is for communist states like CA. Take whatever the compliance BS costs them and double it. Half to pay for remaining "in compliance" and the other half gets funneled to the defeat of anti-gun laws and candidates. Along with that, void all .gov contracts in those states and refuse to sell to them.

If every gun company in America would do this, things would change pretty damn quick. If not, in 50 years the LE in said states will be running around with guns that look like the cars in Cuba! LOL

I am not really sure what would happen. My guess is, if EVERY manufacturer did this, the federal government would step in and we could all see first hand just how "free" we are. It would be interesting none the less. But it will never happen. Some of the smaller ones, sure, but I don't see Glock doing it anytime soon.

Give them away. Give the CA compliant guns away. Cancel any contracts with a government agency. (I don't see anybody really wanting to carry a Ruger on duty.) The compliant guns, just give them away.
