I had a pair of Mk II Government Target pistols - one blued, one SS. I realized I really didn't need two of them since I can only shoot one at a time, and no, I'm not shooting both gunfighter style. So I sold the blued one.

I've owned every model of Mark Whatever. All in Bull Barrel, all blue'd, except for the last Mark III Hunter. Post pics later of the Hunter. The others were before phone pics and internet pics were popular and have none.

My favorite: Mark II 22/45 with tapered barrel.

I've been a fan of Mark anythings for decades. Dad had one years ago that inspired the love..

First up is a gun I purchased in parts, in very rough shape, SN dates it to early fifties. I cleaned up the metal, and prepped it for bluing. Don Franson did the bluing, and it is absolutely gorgeous. I know it's not common to re-blue older guns, but this one was too far gone, and Don's work is nothing short of extraordinary.

Second is another older pistol. Neighbor was moving into a managed care facility that doesn't allow guns. This one was given to her by her ex-husband 45 years ago. Receiver is actually chrome, over travel screw added by someone on the trigger, and some incredible trigger work, nice, crisp, and smooth. This gun dates to 1968.

Next is an S+H arms Mark II. Purchased the pistol on OSA, took it to Curtis for his conversion. As expected it is extremely quiet, full Volquartsen internals, except for the parts replaced by the speed strip kit. This gun dates to 1990.

And last is my impulse buy from FBT, Mark IV Hunter...
