No problems with them, they are built like a tank. People don't like the hole because it's a "purist" thing.
I would love to know the results of that testing.Well didn't need it but bought it anyway. Thanks for all your input. I am anxious to see how it compares to my Taurus revolver, take it easy now.
I think so and I bought one very nice pistol - the safety hole doesn't bother me at all and If it wasn't pointed out you would never know it was thereIs this a good deal? Says it qualifies for $75 rebate as well.
Thanks for your input OSA!

I also have the Taurus Tracker/w ports - similar but the S&W is much better/nicer IMO and shoots greatI would love to know the results of that testing.
I keep reading all the gun forum stuff about them. I’ve got a .357 and a .38 with internal locks and have fired hundreds of rounds ranging from light to heavy loads. Never a problem. I’m sure it will get me killed tomorrow according to internet experts.Whenever I see a S&W with a “Hillary Hole” I immediately go on. Obviously the older ones are more desirable, but has anyone ever had an issue with one, even with a max powered hand loaded round? I know you can remove lock and plug hole… but..
As I understand it, most of the IL failures are with super heavy loads in the lighter frame revolvers, scandium, for example. They are much rarer among the steel frames, if they occur at all.Whenever I see a S&W with a “Hillary Hole” I immediately go on.
