Maybe a little, but it is mostly a required step to accomplish subjugation of the masses.

There is only one remedy short of voting out the despots. Stand on the Constitution and be prepared to use your God given right to the use of force to keep yourself free from tyranny. They will be coming for your guns with their guns. Need anything more be necessarily said?
