Scope for a Henry (H001)

I'm looking for a scope for mine and wondered if anyone on here uses a compact scope. If so, do you have any eye relief problems? Any pics would be appreciated, compact or not. Thanks.

In my experience on rimfire Henry barrel is not very tight in the receiver, even slightest pressure on the foreend moves the barrel up and down in receiver. So when you put a scope on the receiver grooves - you get a lot of vertical flyers (took me a while to figure it out). That's why I think rifles that are scoped from factory have the scope mount attached to the barrel.

That's interesting. Would have never thought it. Well, I've got an H001 and can't afford to replace it with a Golden Boy, so I'll have to make do for the time being. But, you have given me a thought. Maybe there's a scout mount out there which will replace the rear sight.
