A public thank you to the volunteers and members at the OKC Gun Club!
Our Boy Scout troop and Venturing Crew camped at the club over the holiday weekend. We were given full run of the brand-new training range (an incredible facility!), and also provided with instructors and RSOs for the rifle and shotgun courses. The facilities were well-maintained, the campground was roomy and comfortable, the volunteer staff was courteous and very youth-oriented, and the weather was better than perfect!
While we were there, we had a chance to do our "Good Turn" by cleaning up some debris from last month's storms. We also had a chance to run a "Troop Top Shot" competition involving all manner of marksmanship implements, including rifles, shotguns, pistols, tomahawks, throwing knives, slingshots, and blowguns! The boys are not going to forget this weekend for a very long time!
