"birdshot" 8s @ 1160fps (?) effective @5 yards. 15', inside bedroom, lower pentration hazard. Or, 4s, 2s, BB @ 1350fps? BIG difference. 7s TSS shot?
Test your ammo and train, key points.
Engaging @ 125 yards, may be difficult to sell "self-defense".
I will stick to 4s for home intruder, with 1911 and AR back up.
I have shot turkey @ 80 yards (measured) and had multiple pellets (lead BB) with full body penetration, 4s @ 25 yards. I only use 8s for clays.Clays.
Shotgun is extremely versatile and ammo choices are extensive. Opinions are just, until tested.
