Multipurpose? For HD/SD shotgun-wise I keep a Winchester 1897 Takedown made in 1937 with a factory Cyl Bore loaded with 2 3/4” 00 Buck. What threw me was you’re including the word “property”. If it’s something other than human critters I may change my answer.
2 3/4” low recoil, buckshot loads. More then satisfactory after testing it. No need for mag or max dram equivalent imho. Much easier to run, stay on target, etc, less of a chance if penetrating too far! There are rifle’s available for anything need “more!”
My HD Benelli stay loaded with 2 3/4 00 buckshot, but I have some handloaded hot #6 “coyote” ammo that should be good for HD too. The #6 ammo bucks and snorts worse than the factory buckshot.
