Both those guys represent you in the U.S. Senate

I'm going to have to check this out. Last time I voted in Osage county I didn't think I saw them on there,but sometimes my brain isn't so accute.
If they weren't Dems, I'm sure they got my vote.

Just one nitpick... the 2A doesn't "confer" anything on anybody. It just protects something we already have from government infringement.

That was the only issue I had with it. 2A has nothing to do with hunting or even self defense for that matter in it's intent. The secretary that typed the original form letter probably doesn't know that. I was just supprised at the quick response.

I know what you mean. It's like if anybody asked me who I voted for as my member of the House, I'd say "whoever was running against Lucas." And I seriously don't know. I might have been voting for an ax murderer for all I know. Just as long as he was running against Lucas.

The US senate is a state wide election. They will never be at the same time. Senators have a 6 year term. This past election we did not have to elect a senator but the next two times (2014 & 2016)we will.

I sent the following to both Inhofe an Coburn .

I would like to start out by saying like all Americans I was sickened and upset over the recent mass shooting in CT. Mine and my families thoughts and prayers goes out to Newtown and the families of the lost.

In light of what has happened I know that any ban on weapon type and or magazine capacity would not have saved one person nor will it save any in the future. I am sure you know that the AR-15 and other military style firearm sold to civilians Are no worse than any other type sold.

I have heard reporters say they are the same ones our wonderful soldiers us in defending this great country of ours. We know this is not true. Our soldiers use fully auto or select fire weapons and not something that requires you to pull the trigger every time you wish to fire a bullet.

My family and I are hoping and praying that you do everything in your power to stop Obama in his tracks on the issue of gun control. Also I hope you support any measure to place people whether it be teachers, police or volunteers in our schools to be a barrier to those who wish to harm our children. I want to thank you for your stance and for your service .

I'm not a fan of Inhoffe's anymore. Not after the way he outright lied to us about that bill he voted for allowing indefinite detention of US citizens. However, a few years ago there was a bill up for vote that was very bad for aviation. Being that I'm in that industry I wrote a letter to him about my feelings towards that bill. I received a personal phone call from his staff in response. I'm sure it's because he is an aviator as well.

Both senators are yours if you live anywhere in OK. I like coburn and am waffle on inhoffe.

Now the congressmen is different depending on where you live. Mine is lucas again.

Im not a fan of either, although ive voted for inhofe and even sent Inhofe some campagn fundage.

Ive emailed both yesterday but havent heard from either yet.

I've emailed both on multiple occasions. 1) They always get back to you. 2) It may take a few days. It appears that these here in this thread are coming back faster than the ones I've gotten in the past.

Same response I received as well. I am not a fan of his after having had him sit next to me at chow on New Years in Afghanistan a couple of years ago. I asked direct questions and received excuses and never an answer. Coburn, on the other hand, has always taken the time to respond.
