Pre-Election theatrics carefully orchestrated. I believe we will see a significant tightening up starting in January if Biden wins. Turmoil to continue longer if Trump is reelected. The Dems are not eager to see their cities die and will return to rule of law sooner or later. Much harm has been done and it seems likely the way of life and economy of these major disturbance cities will degraded longer term.

I think I need to disagree to some degree. I think the riots and such will continue, regardless of who wins. The rioters have their own agenda (called anarchy and socialism), and if Biden were to win, they would believe that the Dems will be the first ones to give in to their demands.

The real question in my mind is what do you DO? "Side with Liberty and Freedom" - I feel like I already DO that. I support businesses that support my freedom, I vote my conscience, I discuss issues with people in the community - usually calmly and rationally, I would like to think.

But how far can one GO, what can one actually DO in a real and tangible sense other than these things? It can be tough...

Well I think if I lived in Portland and I'm so glad that I don't, the citizens that want this crap to stop should be marching on city hall and shutting it down. I mean hundreds of thousands of them. Two problems, most of those people have jobs, and second don't want to be exposed to the China virus. But sooner or later, there is going to have to be some visible citizen outrage to this crap.

Actually, fear of the cancel culture is probably a fair amount of it, too, I would think. No one wants to stand up and organize things in support of police, law & order or in opposition to the BLM stupidity due to the fear of being attacked online and losing their jobs and livelihoods or having the mob show up outside their doors. I can speak for myself, anyways. I would expect a number of people feel similarly, due to conversations and interactions I have had.

I don't doubt that is what it said but we all know that it was meant to be armor piercing ammo or not serious.
