Whats your thoughts on the sp2022? whats a good price on a used one? and if I decided to trade my RIA 1911 for it, is it a good or bad deal?

I've had several of them and they are great pistols. I've had most models of Sig and the 2022 is still one of my favorites. In fact, I think they are one of the best bang-for-the-buck pistols made. I just picked up another one last month after being without and jonesing for a while. You can generally pick them up for around $450. Keep your RIA and buy a SP2022 too...both are great pistols.

Really depends on the deal. The 2022 is a great gun. I've had mine since 2009 and never experienced any problems. Its tough and reliable.

I'd keep the RIA and save up to buy a 2022. Compared to other Sigs, they can be had fairly cheaply, even new.

I was gonna say, I think I've seen a number of them in the $400 range, which seems a bargain for any Sig. The only complaint I think I have heard had to do with the trigger.

Old thread but while it’s up, they’re solid pistols and I snagged mine LNIB for around $400. I’ve seen them sold retail for around that since. DA/SA really isn’t my thing but it’s hard to pass up such a good value either way.

Good pistols. An issue duty gun in some locales around the world

$450-$500 seems to be the going rate, - awfully close to Glock 19 territory in price, but half what a 229 goes for
