I am looking to buy a SKS. Which one is a good one to buy ????
Well Russians are good. If there painted, have black bolts and a small box with a slash through it stamped on it then there a refurb. Still good but i prefer the non refurbs.
Yugo's are nice. All milled but check the bore as there not chrome lined.
Chinese are good. If you get a chinese get one with a threaded barrel. You can tell by looking looking were the barrel goes into the receiver. If the barrel has a flange then its threaded. If its the same diameter then its pinned in place.

Any of them are great. The yugos seem the most common right now. The only difference with them is they have the barrel grenade launcher. Make sure you get one that is original (Wood stock & fixed magazine). The only times I ever hear of them having problems is when people try to turn them into an AK or AR and put cheap aftermarket detachable magazines on them.
Or when bubba's who don;t know any better cut the barrel back which screws up the gas operation.
