Slide refinish

Recently I picked up a first year production Sig 229 in .40. The slide has quite a bit of carry wear and I was thinking of having the slide refinished, either cerakote or durakote or something along those lines. Anybody in northeastern Oklahoma able to do this?

Might check with Medlocks in Collinsville. They advertise durakote/cerakote.
I had some 1911 sight work done by them last year, no complaints.

Why not send it to Sig and have them refinish it in nitron?

I talked to medlocks, they wanted $200 to cerakote a slide and three weeks turnaround time. I took it to bros. In arms in tulsa, getting Sig grey cerakote for $75.

I called them yesterday for an update, and they have to have their gunsmith put the sights back on. Other than that, it's done.
