Can anyone tell me what other S&W grips interchange with model 542. Orignal would be nice but not likely to find

did you mean 642? You can buy large or small hogue grips for it.

442? 642? No 542. Like higgimw says, Hogue. But anything made for a J-Frame round butt should fit.

547, is it a 4" square butt or a 3" round butt????? By the way its a K-framed gun.

Three inch barrel but it has hogue grips trying to find original or somthing very close.

On the 3" model S&W issued them with banana grips.
