There are 2 rules for success.

1. Don't tell everything you know.

Almost 25 years ago, when I was preparing to go into a construction related business, an old man in the biz told me there is only one rule to success.

Do what you say you will do.

That's it.

Now, after being self employed for those years, I will agree with him. If you can do it, say so.
If you can't (or won't ) do it, say so.

I've actually had clients thank me profusely just for showing up at the job, prepared for the job, when I said I would.
