A federal appeals court on Friday upheld a judge's ruling granting a taxpayer-funded sex change operation for a transgender inmate serving a life sentence for a murder conviction, saying receiving medically necessary treatment is a constitutional right that must be protected "even if that treatment strikes some as odd or unorthodox."

Freed for mental anguish which is cruel and unusual punishment. More then likely once the change is done he will want to be transferred to a women's prison.

I have to agree with Rick here. Some of you may not know here but Rick is an expert on the legitimacy of gender identity. This guy is obviously a fake, Rick is the Muhammad Ali of what real gender confusion is all about, and Rick isn't buying it. So this guy is faking it.

Wrong again, he can be anything he wants, just not at taxpayer expense. I do not care that he is in prison and would have to wait until he is released, it is not the taxpayers responsibility to make him happy with himself.
