So what exactly did this Wolfe guy do or not do? What is a new guy going to do to appease the minorities on campus? Guess they just wanted change for changes sake. Sound familiar?

The students know they are in charge now. They will hire some POS that think students own the campus. Next thing you know, some kindergarten class will out their teacher because they didn't get Twinkies at lunch.

actually, as the article you posted shows, it was more than just one event. In fact, there have been many events like that over the past few years.

I don't know if what happened is right, wrong, PC or whatever, but this wasn't a 'new' or isolated issue. Also, the group had more supporters than just the football team, including graduate students, graduate staff and faculty.

I'm not a fan of people losing their jobs each time someone isn't unhappy, but this group staged a peaceful protest and affected change. I'm happy it went that route instead of some of the other ways people have 'protested' lately.

I get that it was just more than one event but I'm still failing to see what he "didn't do" or how he was responsible or how he somehow promoted it indirectly.

You can disagree but you're wrong. If the students and the faculty feel the administrator is doing a poor job, they are well within their rights to seek his ouster. The students, in particular, don't work for the administrator. Kind of like politicians and voters. Just because he runs the school doesn't mean they can't show him the door.

Your curriculum parallel is faulty and unrelated...
I'm not wrong, it is exactly related to your response.

Students pay to attend. Its called tuition. They don't work for the administrator, that is true, but he dammed sure doesn't work for them.
The administrator runs the organization that runs the school. He is not employed by the students, he is employed by the school to make sure the school runs in the manner that the regents decide that school should run. IF the Board of Regents decide he is out of bounds, he can be asked to step down with his golden parachute intact.

I didn't see in any reports that the Board asked for his resignation.

I suspect the original report of the activist that nobody witnessed and he took to the extreme never happened, and he thought he would see how far it would fly. He certainly got his response. He said She said type of evidence to support his reaction.

Political correctness at its finest, lowest level.

You're going to just love these protesters after seeing this. The woman in glasses at the very end, calling for "some muscle" is a professor at the school. Unbelievable.

The young Asian man with the camera in this video is a far better person than I am. It would take everything I have to not get into a serious and violent altercation when 4 people start pushing me down a public street.

HAHAHA! I was in Stillwater today for awhile and decided to get on an app for somewhere to eat, and decided Fuzzy's taco's looked good. App took me to main just off campus.
Class had just got out and the place was pretty full. It was interesting to listen in on some of the conversations. The nativity of some of them was amazing. Like I said in another thread, the current crop of college students was 11 years old when ostupid was elected. They don't know any different.

Yep. Here is her info.

Dr. Melissa A. Click earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Communication at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her research interests center on popular culture texts and audiences, particularly texts and audiences disdained in mainstream culture. Her work in this area is guided by audience studies, theories of gender and sexuality, and media literacy. Current research projects involve 50 Shades of Grey readers, the impact of social media in fans’ relationship with Lady Gaga, masculinity and male fans, messages about class and food in reality television programming, and messages about work in children's television programs. Melissa is Vice-Chair of ICA’s Popular Communication Division and is Chair of the committee hosting the Console-ing Passions conference at the University of Missouri in April 2014.

He keeps telling them that it's his and their 1st amendment right to be there, but they don't understand the "others" part.

lol

No I don't. But I was not aware that all universities are now the sole domain of space cadets either. Read the bio I posted about that "professor". My disdain for college in general has reached it's apex, there isn't any way to make it any worse.

Edit to add:

Think about this quote below. This is pure space cadet stuff right here. :faint:

So, what happens if a bunch of people decide to walk through their "safe space" and act together to passively destroy their little camp. Not harming anyone, not violating their right to be in that space, not physically moving people or using force, but just being there. What would happen? A huge fight? A riot? What if 500 people just showed up, linked arms, and started walking all through the crowd and in and out of their "perimeter"?
