Funny that some only support "the people" rising up when it involves something they share belief in.

This is a public university and a group of citizen students and faculty decided they didn't like the leadership for very well documented reasons. If this had been about veterans, the flag, guns, or Christianity and a group of students and faculty took the exact same steps, you'd be cheering them on.

If you think this was about a single unwitnessed incident, you should really stop weighing in because it shows bias and ignorance.

I'll call "BS" on this right now. No, if this were nominally about Christianity (or gun rights) I would abhor the students and faculty behaving in the bullying, intimidating and positively Stalinistic way the Mizzou protesters are behaving.

These student and faculty protesters are not behaving in a way that should be supported or emulated for it has gone way beyond a mere football team protest. This has all the earmarks of an orchestrated left wing revolt including very likely staged, or at least distorted, triggering events.

I see this incident and am saddened. To see these poor students being oppressed, and the way some folks refuse to support them. Oh, wait, no I'm not. Release the hounds, and get back to class, before we go all Kent State on ya.

You're right, SMS. We support uprisings that serve our interests, and don't give a crap about the other team. You see it here, you see it in the church, you see it within political parties. It's human nature. I do shake my head when I see a football game being the thing of value that a situation like this hinges on, though. Says a lot about our priorities as a society.

Gahh... It's spreading.

Not really much of a response - please address the student group and faculty member behavior that you implied we would support if only we favored the cause.

Peaceful protests, walkouts, votes of no confidence by faculty? Confronting leadership in a public place (like all those gotcha videos of conservative "media" confronting politicians that some people fawn over).

They'll get the education they deserve...just like we get the government we deserve.
