It is hard trying to communicate with the liberals on here and I know they will have a hard time understanding this and throw out more red herrings, but these are the notes from a freshman. They are written directly from the professor conversations. You can assume whatever you want from the notes, but the topic still remains the same: "How badly the American soldiers behaved in the Vietnam War".

If she gets the assignment in "paper" or another format I can post, I will post the topic later.

It looks like the topic is the My Lai massacre..... in which American solders DID "behave badly."

That idea here is to put the impression that this is what America does and why we go to war.

You sure? Any chance the professor is forcing a new student to consider a topic from a new perspective (possibly one that he or she was never exposed to at home)?

I know many professors who are happy to play devils advocate and propose topics that force students out of their comfort zones. Especially freshmen.

But I'm sure calling the professor a commie is far easier.

You can spin it however you want and so can academia. When your kid comes home and discusses the professors opinion that is anti-American soldier, you might have a different point of view.

Yeah, she was given that as one resource and she was supposed to find several examples.

That idea here is to put the impression that this is what America does and why we go to war.

A teacher\professor assigned students an assignment to write about the My Lai massacre equals, in your mind, "idea here is to put the impression that this is what America does and why we go to war"? And then throw in "she was given that as one resource and she was supposed to find several examples." yet her notes make it clear the assignment was about this one incident.

You sir, are full of crap. Pure and simple. Call me liberal all you want, won't change your BS. You stepped in it, got called on it and then started with the "LIBERAL" nonsense.

As I wrote you can't comprehend, it's not your fault, your brain isnt wired to grasp reality. But thanks for your opinion. You obviously can't read the 2nd bullet point indicating she is to find 10 sources, for you, that translates into examples of this type of behavior.

Sport, if you think that saying that I can't comprehend what you wrote is going to make your BS any less odorous, you're very wrong.

The assignment was, clearly, to write about one incident. The sentence you refer to is, clearly, to find 10 sources for the subject of the assignment. You trying to make it more than it obviously was just makes you look more desperate.

You lied. You got caught. That's not over your head, is it?

I won't even bother to pile on by pointing it the rest of your BS.
