Looks like we get a whopping 2.5% increase. After the increase in Medicare I'm left with a giant $19 increase in my take home.
That should cover the increases in food, gas, house insurance, car insurance, property taxes and the other luxuries I enjoy on a daily basis.

I got a text message saying I had a new message in my ssa account. I didn’t go look because it’s the weekend and I didn’t want to get disappointed until Monday about how crappy it would probably be.

Well thanks to FJB my Part D premium more than doubled, so that along with the increase in Part B premium pretty much wiped out the increase in SS benefits.

That's why we switched our Part D carrier this year. Ours was going to more than double as well, but our insurance man hooked us up with a different plan that is about five dollars more a month than what we had been paying this year, and as good or better coverage.
