This is the ultimate war that must be won, the cultural war.
We need to re-convince the average person in our country that guns do more GOOD than harm, and that they are useful tools that make people and equal and free. IMHO, to do this, we need to all start reaching out to kids and young adults, and take them shooting. Show them it is FUN and useful. Show them safe handling of a firearm.
It's amazing the empowering effect a firearm can have on someone who has never fired one before, and after they learn they can use this tool to protect themselves.
I've also found that several folks with no exposure to firearms or our Constitution think it natural that firearms should be registered with the government. It's important to educate them on WHY registration is a very, very bad idea...why the 2A was created to guard against a central tyrant with a standing army taking over the populace and how it is craziness to provide a list of who owns what firearm to any potential central authority.
We need to win this cultural struggle to win this war. And with no help from the educational system or the entertainment industry.
I think we can do his if we all do our little part....take some folks we know who have never shot before out shooting....help them join the NRA, GOA etc.
Otherwise our rights are one generation from going away.

Probably the largest were some de-milled russian DSHK parts kits with torch-cut receivers which was listed as machine parts for shipping insurance.
