A lot of you guys have more knowledge than I do so here is another one to help me with.

I know it's a chopped up k98 but can you please help me with identifying the stock and a value?

Thank you very much.

Does the buttplate say anything on it? Herters, Fajen, Bishop?
Looks to have commercially pressed checkering
1950's-60' Weatherby stock style
If it was later I think they would have added a low scope safety which really didn't catch on til the 70's
Commercially replaced barrel. next to impossible to cut the steps out of a military barrel and look decent.
50's-60's forged bolt handle. from 70's on it was popular to cut and weld.
Standard caliber it was probably a commercial redo
Oddball cartridge except for the checkering I'd say Gunsmith school project
Does it have military trigger or commercial replacement?

Do you have a guess on what the value would be?

The stock or whole gun?
Having recently liquidated a large number of stocks The moneys just not there unless it catches someones eye.
Selling the stock on Ebay would be the best bet to reach the widest audience. Photograph well

The whole gun. There is no words on the buttstock as you asked. Non military trigger. The receiver is easy to identify as it says what it is. 😅 The rest of the rifle kind of baffles me. I keep stumbling into these frankenrifles.

Closer inspection of the rifle I found the name fajen on the buttstock and the trigger does not feel stock. Any updates on possible value would be appreciated.
