A couple of years ago KC stopped producing their 150W long range (Sealed Beam) 385,000 Candlepower Daylighter series kits and now market the new setup as a 100W kit with H3 bulbs. Long story short KC guarantees even their bulbs and that particular sealed beam doesn’t last very long etc.etc.etc. The good news is that you can still get the bulb which is a “Wagner 4049” 13 Volt bulb UPC 4273 92620. This sealed beam bulb will even fit in the newer KC casings. NAPA can get these and had them in stock at one of the stores in OKC, every other parts store acted like I was asking for a reactor core or something.

This of course being an extremely hot spotlight is the exact opposite of what you want but I bet they also make similar sealed beam flood bulbs that will do what you want. The Wagner 4049 is listed as a Spot on all the websites but the actual boxes say spot, flood which makes sense to me because even though they have a very long range spot they do throw tones of light in all directions.

Anyway I was mainly throwing that out there because it took me a while to figure out exactly what bulb that was and where to find them. I know they sold a bunch of these and when just one side goes out and not even KC will sell you a bulb I don’t think you should have to scrap the entire kit for one bulb. I bet I’m not the only person who ran into that issue.
