Here, but occasionally There.
This lady is advocating that a tax-by-mile legislation (either state or federal) is unconstitutional and is citing Crandall vs State of Nevada (from the 1800's) as the reason why.

In all honesty, I know nothing about this lady nor the SCOTUS ruling in Crandall vs State of Nevada. Has anyone else got an opinion on the validity?

Filthy "walkable city" people, vegan farters, and cyclists love laws like this. Yes, it's unconstitutional. The current California tax where they tax you after you've moved should be challenged under the same ruling.

Wait until the minorities get their first bill - "OMG this ain't fair! It's unfairly targeting minorities and now I cant drive to tha liquor sto!"

I haven't watched the video but I do not know how you can have freedom of movement if you're taxed and tracked for every mile traveled. They will know where you are all the time , even if the data is "anonymized" which it isn't because they've even said no one will be able to see where you've been unless we receive a warrant from Law Enforcement. which is what Washington , California, Oregon and other states which are piloting this have said in the fine print.
