A few of us have already lamented on this deal in the "Steals and Deals" section. It is an amazing buy. If it was available for that price in a 4" barrel I likely would have another .44Mag.

I read some issues on the 44 mag 629 that the cylinder throats are smaller than what the barrel slugs at.
Can be fixed but I will not buy another S&W or Ruger until i measure cylinders and slug the barrel and I do not think that is possible with a new gun.
Research issues with that model.
Yea you can buy it then pay shipping to send it to the manufacturer to have it fixed but what a pain that will be.

If you are not all about shooting small groups or shooting cast lead you may never have an issue with it.
I love making my own lead bullets and sending them.

It now wears Pachmayr grips but I really like my 1989 mfg 7.5" stainless Redhawk.
