I'm considering scoping my S&W 629, but I'm clueless as to how.

Good luck! Show us some pics of your rig when finished. As far as scopes go, I have a leupold 2x on a Ruger SS Hunter .44 and I like it well. A friend of mine has same rig in .41 and has a Simmons variable (2-6) that has served him well and taken a couple deer. Takes a bit of practice finding full view positioning in a quick manner, especially on higher power. Scope weight helps reduce recoil too. My daughter has a 629 and goes scope free. She likes the recoil management part of the scope (shooting my .44) but for her smaller frame body and strength the extra weight takes away from center hold stability. I handload on lower scale of .44mag (an inbetweener special/mag) for recoil management for her. She has shot a deer with her 629, but unfortunately we did not recover. Low brisket. Placement!

Well Dang!

Jezebel (my 629) is a 629 no dash,,,
It is not drilled and tapped.

I don't believe I want to modify the revolver,,,
So I won't be scoping or red-dotting it.

Bridget (my 686) ia also a no dash,,,
I guess I've saved myself a bit of coin here.

Oh well,,, :anyone:

I have an e-mail in to the company asking about my two S&W's,,,
The mounts are cheap enough if they will fit my guns.

If not it's no biggie,,,
I'll never go hunting with them.

Just another wild project I dreamed up.
