By now you all know of the fire that destroyed my sister's home just 2 weeks before Christmas. Leaving her and her 2 youngest children homeless. I posted here in the hopes of getting enough help to get her though for a little bit.
As always, OSA went above and beyond in helping out. You provided blankets, towels, toys and more. @surjimmy did a charity sale of one of his rifles, and in total you all provided over $2500 in combined cash and gofundme donations, and more that I know was mailed directly to her, but I don't know how much. Also, there were several offers of furniture and other items but unfortunately, she doesn't have anywhere to store it right now.
And a big thanks to @surjimmy and @druryj for taking the time to make a road trip to deliver everything before Christmas.
My sister sent me this and asked that I post it here for everyone that helped.
----------From my sister------
The words THANK YOU, seem so small compared to the kindness and generosity that you have shown to myself and my children. At the moment, THANK YOU, is all that we have. Because of you, I was able to give my children Christmas. Because of you, I have been able to replace immediate necessities that were needed for everyday life. Because of you, through the extremely long tunnel ahead, there is a twinkle of light.
This has been one of the hardest times that I have ever gone through. Fire wasn’t something that was ever thought of. THANK YOU, for helping in making this time a little easier.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are all angels.
