What a week this has been. On Tuesday I found out I was chosen as one of two people OU will be sending to Washington DC for a week in January for a collegiate aviation policy conference. Never been to DC, so definitely looking forward to that.
Then Thursday, I was notified that I was selected as one of five recipients of a nationwide aviation scholarship I applied for this summer. I'm flying down to Orlando Tuesday to accept it.
I've been taking 10 credit hours of class plus working 60 hours a week (my full time job, plus a weekend gig in food service) in order to save up for my flight instructor training in the spring. With this scholarship, I can now quit the weekend gig and go back to knowing what its like to get more than 4 hours of sleep a night.
Thanks be to God!
