That's because objectively and subjectively, factors other than guns make a difference. One example of that would be public lands available for recreation. Oklahoma has very, very little and that's one of the very few things I don't like about OK. Having lived out west most of my life in Colorado, Wyoming and Idaho the large amount of public lands are a really good thing in terms of recreation and gun ownership.

We were on a good roll there for a few years with new pro gun laws, but the legislature has stalled out this last session. Dahm introduced three great bills (SB1199, 1200, 1201) but I guess they never made it out of committee. I did think allowing loaded long guns in vehicles was a good step forward. Never made sense to me that you could have a loaded handgun but not a long gun.
