The DX3 project...

Here are some pics of a 2+ month restoration of DX3's 1970 Toyota FJ body Land Cruiser.... The body was real rough and covered in tons of bondo. All dents were hammered out and all filler is less than 3/16 of an inch. I will post some to get you up to date and to let him brag on his toy. FYI, he is doing this right... All original metal (excluding heavy gage tailgate)...
After sanding out a 5 gallon bucket of Bondo this is what you get...
This is a straight edge down the rear corner...

Home made front bumper to replace the huge oilfield pipe bumper...

Sanding through all the old Bondo on the hood, pounding the dents out and welding it together where it looks like it went through a fence...
Side skirts were beat to death to....

After 20 hours on the hood alone...

Front after first coat... Yes it is getting new lights.

Lol... It's a Toyota No problem... Had to put pics up because it has been nothing but a money pit to him. I made a bid on it and didn't inspect it close but he has given me other work and has had a real sh!tty go of it with other so called mechanics. I have stuck with my price and it has been great to work on solid steel instead of tin foil...
