I had a good time today, got rid of some 10/22 sticks and barrels that were just sitting around for me, and gave the guy that bought them what I felt like was a great deal. Plus sold an Osprey Scope that had been just sitting in the safe for a few years….to the osprey booth guy of all people!

Only real negative thing was I had an old guy get upset with me when I asked about his Ruger Mark 3 he was selling. I asked his price, didn’t much need it for what he was asking so I told him thank you and tried to move on. Then got berated for a few minutes on why his Ruger 22 pistol was better than all the others at the show, because his was unified, and had the red Ruger bird on the grip and was a good price (it may have been). I did try to genuinely ask why the red bird made it worth more but he couldn’t tell me and just got mad I asked. While I walked away he started in on my cousin that was with me about how no one was buying today.

Also picked up this guy BNIB at what I thought was a fair price!

Interesting about the red bird on a Mark lll
Last I heard they went from red to black when Sturm died. But that was long before the Mark lll came about. Or perhaps I have that precisely backwards

And what the hell is unified?

I think it went from red to black on the original pistol. I could be wrong though.

That is correct, the red eagle went black at Alex Sturm's death, and Bill Ruger kept it that way (past maybe a few special commemoratives), but with his passing, the bean counters running things afterwards have done whatever they thought would sell. They are more common today, but that old gent was getting confused between then and now...

Sorry, spell correct got me. Unfired
That dawned on me about 5 minutes before bed. 🤣 🤣 🤣

There was alot of really cool yesterday. I found my 41 mag carry gun. Not a Charter Arms Mag Pug, but a taurus!

Someone was selling FRT's on the lower level.

Nice to see some reloading stuff for a change. A good supply of primers. Powder has gotten plum silly tho. Old stock trail boss for 75 bucks a can. 8lb of bullseye for 450 something.

I was surprised at the lack of 10/22's walking around. Usually it's pretty easy to pick one up for a build or something. Not the case yesterday. Lots n lots of ruger 22 pistols of various flavors. More than I wanted to spend tho. Most were 400 and up. More along the lines of 450-700.

Always a good time tho!
