There is already a gay female character, the brunette that Glen wouldn't leave in the tunnel (Tara, maybe). Would make a lot of sense if the newly revealed batter for the same team was a female who gets involved with her.
Her girlfriend already bought it. She ain't gettin' another chance, not in the apocalypse. You get one chance at romance, then you're done.

I haven't kept up with this show like I have some of the others ... Maybe I should do the "on demand" thing and catch up ...
