Really. The show and the comics have almost completely taken different paths at this point so it really doesn't matter what happened in the comics.

My guess is that it is an airborne virus, that affects pigs an humans both, some form of hemoragic (sp) fever, judging by the bloody footprints the kid left on the way to the shower. Maybe some Dr. can way in on a virus that would cause these symptoms in both species.

By the way, the woman Rick found in the woods really creeped me out. I'm pretty sure that is what most people would look like, if they were thrown in that situation, green teeth and caked filthy skin. Whew!!!

These people are screwed. They're almost completely incapable of planning ahead. Why haven't they hit the local Redi-Mix plant and reinforced the fences? Why haven't they emulated Morgan's and the governor's traps, so the zombies practically kill themselves?
Also, either Rick or Tyrese have to die. The show doesn't need two crybabies.
While they're picking up a few pallets of cinder blocks at Lowes, they should grab some paint. The prison is grim enough without having to put up with institutional grey.

Agreed. I have pretty much stopped watching the show because of stupid mistakes I keep seeing. I did watch the season opener hoping for better and I see them killing walkers at the fence worrying about aprons to keep their clothes clean, but no face coverage to keep splatter from their eyes, nose, etc.

I'm headed to whatever part of Tulsa you're at when the walkers hit.

I live near Tulsa airport. When the outbreak hits, I'm going out there and put an empty tire under one wheel of each small plane and fire 'em up. The noise will draw the shambling dead into the props of the slowly turning craft.
You bring the 7-point and we'll sit on a rooftop with our Heritage SAs and shoot up our 22lr & 22wmr at the ones too lucky to get through the fence.
